We are planning a new series of three one-day workshops in 2013. Please email us at norfolkvmt@gmail.com, or fill in an enquiry form at www.norfolkvmt.co.uk to express your interest, indicating which workshop/s you would like to take part in.
Nurturing The Self - date TBC
Many of us live busy lives where everything seems to be moving very fast. It can be difficult to find enough time and space to nurture our bodies and minds. This experiential workshop will focus on slowing down and creating a deeper sense of connection to the self, so that we can bring more awareness and attention to our fundamental needs. We will be exploring what may be getting in the way of being able to slow down, take time out, and be still. We will work on building resources and finding new ways to support and nurture the self through voice, movement, breathing, imagery and song.
Voices and Images of the Self - date TBC
This experiential workshop will give you an opportunity to develop your creativity and imagination, and to be playful in the process of sounding, moving and crafting your own stories and songs. Working with specific vocal qualities, movement and imagery, we will explore and embody different aspects of our selves, paying attention to sensations, moods, feelings and memories that come up. In the vocal and movement explorations, you may find an image that you will be able to follow and develop, using drawing, creative writing and enactment. Discovering different vocal qualities can enhance your expressive ability, strengthen your sense of self and expand your vocal repertoire.
